Child poverty in Scotland is a huge problem. Working with Aberlour Children’s Charity we decided that the most effective way to connect with the audience was to show the harsh reality of living in poverty. We wanted to create a feeling of isolation. To show the everyday things we take for granted are not an option for so many children. It’s a difficult subject that we felt we had to tackle head on – the bigger the reaction, the bigger the response.
